• The tour fees for our guides. Our tour guides are well educated, caring, and professional. Most of them have their PhD's in Church history, archeology, philosophy, languages, or Theology.
• Luggage handling. Please pack light, one piece of luggage and one carry-on.
• If you are traveling alone and you allow us to find you a roommate, you don't have to pay the $900 single supplement. If you wish to have your own room and you are not open to the idea of rooming with another passenger, then $900 is what you pay for single supplement fee.
• Dress casually all throughout the trip. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting Basilicas or churches.
• Wheelchair can be provided for those passengers who cannot walk, with prior notice at registration for $150. A traveling companion has to push the wheelchair throughout the trip.
• NOTE: If you wish to deepen your knowledge of the Catholic Faith as a preparation for this pilgrimage, we recommend the following book as it is faithful to the teachings of the Magisterium of the Catholic Church (Imprimatur by ARCHBISHOP FELIPE AGUIRRE FRANCO): The Catholic Faith in Easy Terms. Introduction, Nihil Obstat, and Imprimatur by Archbishop Felipe Aguirre Franco.
• At the time of registration, as a part of the total balance, a non-refundable $500 deposit (hotel and airfare deposit) is due in the form of a check or credit card. For example, if your trip costs $3,000, when you sign up and you pay the $500 deposit, your balance would be $2,500 and is due 4 months before departure date. If you sign up after the final payment due date or a the last minute, you must overnight the entire cost of the trip immediately.

Trip Itinerary

May 19 - Day 1: Depart USA.

May 20 - Day 2: Arrive in Split. Check into hotel. Dinner and overnight in Split.

May 21 - Day 3: Spend the day in Split and Diocletian’s Palace, built in 305 AD for the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Over the centuries, the city of Split has grown up around Diocletian’s Palace, and during this time, many of the Palace’s buildings have remained intact. Diocletian’s Palace is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. St. Domnius Cathedral is located within Diocletian’s Palace. This is the oldest Catholic cathedral in the world, completed in the 7th century AD. At the palace's heart is Peristil, an imperial square flanked by two colonnades where Emperor Diocletian once addressed the public. The People’s Square – Pjaca is located in the area once occupied by the Diocletian’s Palace, west of the Peristyle. Dating from the 15th century, the People’s Square (Narodni Trg Pjaca) in Split features many interesting Renaissance, Venetian, and Gothic buildings built by the nobility. The Marjan Peninsula sits just to the west of the Old Town. A series of trails crisscross their way over the peninsula. For another great view of the city, consider the stroll up Marjan Hill.Trogir is a separate coastal city just 35 minutes away by car or bus and one hour by ferry. This is a gorgeous, tiny town to visit. Dinner and overnight in Split.

May 22 - Day 4: Early Mass followed by breakfast and the rest of the day to enjoy this medieval city which was utilized in the HBO series, Game of Thrones. Dinner and overnight in Split. Top sights could include Riva, Marjan, Hvar, Brac, Klis Fortress, Fruit Square, Vestibul, Bronze Gate, and many others.

May 23 - Day 5: After breakfast, check out of hotel and head to Medjugorie. On the way, stop at Krka national park. Late morning and early afternoon we enjoy the many sights of Krka. Lunch can be purchased from a local vendor in the park. Arrive in Medjugorie. Check into hotel for dinner and overnight.

May 24 - Day 6: Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During your stay in Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share faith with pilgrims from all over the world. Your local guide will accompany you throughout your stay. Overnight in Medjugorje. Here are some of the activities you'll be sharing with our fellow pilgrims. This morning at 10am we assemble at St. James Church for the English-language Mass (Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon). Follow the path up Apparition Hill where the visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Touch and pray before the cross that commemorates the spot where Mary first appeared to the visionaries. Each evening at 5pm or 6pm daylight savings time, we will join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. The apparition takes place at 5:40pm or 6:40pm daylight savings time, and then you may stay for the Croatian Mass. On Tuesdays and Saturdays there is an Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Each evening during the Croatian Mass, there is the Blessing of the Sick in which time you may have personal items Blessed. Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes provided that they are in Medjugorje during your trip, and pending their availability. We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. Visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a place of great healing and graces- a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill. We will also visit the community of Cenacolo. Overnight in Medjugorje.

May 25 - Day 7: After breakfast, depart for Dubrovnik. Arrive in Dubrovnik. Lunch and leisurely afternoon on your own to discover this medieval gem, another scenic city filmed in Game of Thrones. Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik.

May 26 & 27- Day 8 & 9: Morning Mass. Then breakfast. Remainder of day to explore, perhaps any number of top sights including walls of Dubrovnik, Lokrum, Stradun Rector's Palace, Lovrijenac SRD, Tvrdava Minceta, Old City, Dubrovnik Cable Car, Sponza Palace, Pile Gate, Large Onofrio's Fountain, King's Landing, Revelin Fortress, and several others.

May 28 - Day 10: Fly back home.

Please note: We do our best to ensure that all sites listed in this itinerary will be seen. However, due to scheduling conflicts, or other circumstances beyond our control, sites may be visited on a different day than listed. If this happens it will also necessitate a change in the restaurant for dinner. However, we will never sacrifice the quality of the meal, all restaurants will meet Proximo Travel's very high standards. Since we have several different trip configurations touring at the same time, it is likely that groups on different tours will be combined when their itineraries overlap in certain areas.
