Trip Includes

  • The tour fees for our guides. Our tour guides are well educated, caring, and professional. Most of them have their PhD's in Church history, archeology, philosophy, languages, or Theology.
  • Luggage handling. Please pack light, one piece of luggage and one carry-on.
  • Dress casually throughout the whole trip. Shoulders and knees should be covered when visiting Basilicas or churches.
  • We limit our group to a maximum of 24 passengers, unless the priest on the trip requests a larger group. Small groups with a 5 star service in 4/5 star hotels.
  • If you are traveling alone and you allow us to find you a roommate, you don't pay the $900 single supplement. If you wish to have your own room and you are not open to rooming with another passenger, then the single supplement fee is $900.
  • Taxi and wheelchair can be provided gratis for those passengers who cannot walk, with prior notice at registration. A traveling companion has to push the wheelchair throughout the trip.
  • At the time of registration, as a part of the total balance, a non-refundable $500 (hotel and airfare deposit) is due in the form of a credit card. For example, if your trip costs $3,700, when you sign up, you pay a $500 deposit, then your balance would be $3,200 and is due 4 months before departure date. If you sign up after the final payment due date or at the last minute, you pay the entire cost of the trip at registration.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Departure from USA.

Day 2: Upon arrival in Rome, the "Eternal City," you will be met at the airport by one of our local tour guides. Our first stop will be to the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Wall where the body of St. Paul is buried. This amazing Basilica, is the second largest in Rome, and is one of the five largest in the world. After we leave the Basilica, we will stop and check into the hotel. Our busy afternoon includes St. Mary Major, Rome's main Basilica dedicated to Mary, home of the remnants of Jesus' manger, brought to Rome by St. Helen, the mother of Constantine; the tomb of Bernini (the Architect of St Peter's in the Vatican); St. Jerome's tomb, who lived next to the manger of Jesus in Bethlehem while translating the Bible from Greek to Latin; and the famous Salus Populi Romani, the oldest icon in the world of the Virgin Mary, painted by St. Luke. We will have our first delicious Italian dinner including red and white wine. We will stay overnight in Rome.

Day 3: Today we will spend the day in Vatican City, the smallest country in the world. First, we will visit the Vatican Museums, including the Sistine Chapel (the Pope's private Chapel). From the museums we enter the Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican. Since we arrange all of our tours in advance you will not have to stand in long lines to for entrance. St. Peter's is the largest Basilica in the world and the building itself is great piece of art by Bernini, whose tomb you visited at St. Mary Major on Day 2. Vatican rules dictate that your shoulders and knees must be covered out of respect while in St. Peter’s Basilica, so make sure your wardrobe today includes long pants, capris, or skirts below the knee, no sleeveless shirts or tank tops. In the evening, we will enjoy dinner including red and white wine and continue our stay in Rome.

Day 4: Today we will travel to Assisi, taking in the tranquility of the mountain village. See the tombs of St. Francis and St. Clare; enjoy a peaceful walk on the streets of Assisi. Visit the upper and lower Basilicas of St. Francis, the Basilica of St. Clare, and the Basilica of Santa Maria degli Angeli, at the foothills of Assisi’s. After dinner in Assisi or Cascia, retire for the night.

Day 5: This morning we will visit the beautiful town of Cascia. There will be time to see the tombs of St. Rita and the site of the Eucharistic Miracle. In 1457, the first of Saint Rita's miracles begin to be reported in the Codex miraculorum (the Code of Miracles). Among these, the maxime,or the most remarkable: the miracle of a blind man who regained his sight. We will travel on to San Giovanni Rontondo, enjoy dinner and overnight.

Day 6: This morning we will visit the beautiful town of San Giovanni Rotondo. There will be time to see the tombs of St. Padre Pio, with visits to the old church, Santa Maria delle Grazie, the Friary of Padre Pio, his tomb, cell, confessional, and we end at the new church, the Padre Pio Pilgrimage Church. Dinner and overnight in San Giovanni Rotondo.

Day 7: Today is a day of travel, from San Giovanni Rotondo to Rome, On the way we will visit Monte Cassino, the famous monastery founded by St. Benedict. Dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 8: Fly to Medjugorje. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by a tour guide and/or driver who will then take you by private coach to the village of Medjugorje (a 2 1/2 hour drive). Your guide will be with your group throughout your stay. Once there, you'll meet your fellow pilgrims and prepare yourself for a great pilgrimage. Overnight in Medjugorje.

Day 9: Experience the beauty and peace of this simple village. During your stay in Medjugorje you will have the opportunity to share faith with pilgrims from all over the world. Here are some of the activities you'll be experiencing: At 10am we assemble at St. James Church for the English-language Mass (Feast days and Sundays English Mass is at Noon). Follow the path up Apparition Hill where the visionaries first encountered Our Lady. Touch and pray before the cross that commemorates the spot where Mary first appeared to the visionaries. In the evening at 5pm or 6pm daylight savings time, we will join the villagers and pilgrims to pray the rosary. The apparition takes place at 5:40pm or 6:40pm daylight savings time, and then you may stay for the Croatian Mass. On Tuesdays and Saturdays there is an Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and on Fridays Veneration of the Cross in the Church. Each evening during the Croatian Mass, there is the Blessing of the Sick at which time you may have personal items Blessed. Our guide will arrange meetings with the visionaries at their own homes provided that they are in Medjugorje during your trip, and pending their availability. We will have the opportunity to climb Krizevac Mountain, where in 1933 the villagers built a 30' high cross on the anniversary of Jesus' crucifixion. Visit and pray at "Blue Cross", which is a place of great healings and graces- a very special place at the base of Apparition Hill. If we have time, we will also visit the community of Cenacolo. Dinner with red and white wine, then Overnight in Medjugorje.

Day 10: Fly home to the USA.
